Software Developer Sr

Overview

Job Purpose:

Lead and contribute to all facets of the development, maintenance, and support of Payment Support Systems. A strong emphasis on the analysis of business requirements and written communication of technical design. The Software Developer, Sr. is responsibility for planning, design, development and delivery of Payment System and Software Engineering projects.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties:

  • Designs, develops, enhances, and implements software
  • Perform unit, functional, and performance software testing
  • Troubleshoots production problems to software applications
  • Provides solutions to fix software bugs
  • Prepares software deployment packages
  • Provides technical supports to client support teams
  • Design, development, and unit testing of new functionality and code enhancements.
  • Responsible for analysis of business requirements and for accurate estimates of level of effort for analysis, design, and coding.
  • Analytical support of user reported problems to determine appropriate resolution options, on-call support, and problem resolution of production systems
  • Mentor fellow team members in analytical support of user reported problems to determine appropriate resolution options
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficient in software design, development, and unit testing
  • Relational databases such as MSSQL and MySQL
  • Strong SQL, C#, .Net, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript skills
  • Agile/Lean development methodology
  • Understand the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to accurately estimate the level of effort required for planned designs.
  • Strong problem solving, debugging, and application and code maintenance skills
  • Adapt to a rapidly moving client focus. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment with associates.
  • Capability of effective planning and priority setting.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an technical field or a commensurate combination of work experience and certifications
  • 7+ years of software development experience
  • 5+ years’ experience using software languages that may include C#, Javascript, Node.js, Angular, SQL, .NET, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with SaaS and Cloud based technologies
  • Experience with payment processing, Visa/MasterCard

Physical Demands:

Standing, sitting, walking, speaking, listening, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping and manipulating tools, typing, using peripheral computer tools. May be required to lift up to 25 pounds.
