There is an Accounts Receivable (A/R) Clerk job opening for someone who is self-starting and detail-oriented. This is a short-term temporary Accounts Receivable Clerk position and is based in the Miramar, Florida area. Entering, posting, and reconciling batches, researching and resolving customer A/R issues, preparing aging report, placing billing and collection calls, maintaining cash receipts journal, updating, and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L will be among the Accounts Receivable Clerk’s duties. We are seeking candidates who are looking for career growth potential, and who are capable of processing 200+ invoices per week.
How you will make an impact
– Locate delinquent customer accounts through various means, e.g. skip-tracing, phone contact, written correspondence, and make arrangements for payment
– Be an ambassador of the mission, values, and culture of the organization
– Provide information, as requested to the sales/marketing department, shippers, customers, and other stakeholders
– Confirm documents and codes
– Settle bank accounts, posting and balancing financial data in a variety of ledgers
– Sort out payments and compile segments of monthly closings and annual reports in compliance with GAAP
– Contact clients to help resolve payment issues; assist in setting up payment plans
– Execute a number of accounting tasks in agreement with normal procedures, including general accounting tasks – AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field desired
– 2+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable
– Foundational knowledge in customer service
– Strong familiarity with customer invoices
– Knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR)
– Solid understanding of Accounts Receivable (AR)
– ERP system experience
– General proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel preferred
– Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
– Established analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy
