Summary:
Under the supervision of an RN, performs basic telemetry monitoring.
Detailed responsibilities:
• Performs continual surveillance of multiple monitors.
• Identifies significant arrhythmias and/or signs of patient distress and intervenes appropriately. Identifies and corrects for artifacts.
• Reports abnormal assessment and telemetry findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff/immediate supervisor and nurse manager.
