MARITIME CYBERSECURITY OT ENGINEER Responsible for helping execute the Maritime Cybersecurity strategy and program initiatives Serve as a subject matter expert to peers and leaders across our lines of business regarding maritime cyber risks. The role will be an individual contributor providing cyber risk mgmt. and assurance expertise so that systems located within or connected to our environments consisting of OT navigationbridge, marine engineering (ICS, SCADA), and IT hotel operations systems, have been implemented and maintained, adhering to maritime cybersecurity guidelines and corporate information security standards. Also help influence IT and maritime business units to raise awareness of the maritime cybersecurity program and their role in ensuring the safety of our ITOT systems. Required skillscompetencies Contributor to the protection of shipboard OT systems and processes to appropriately reduce existing and emerging risks to our maritime assets. Leverage information security activities and technologies to raise cyber situational awareness and protection. Ensure that maritime cybersecurity technology intended to protect shipboard systems and information is configured and operating per established standards. Review and understand technical standards, architecturalengineering diagrams, and procedures for shipboard and newbuild I.T. and marine operations units regarding how to securely configure and implement I.T. and OT technology. Work on assigned remediation tasks to ensure that shipboard OT vulnerabilities and defects are mitigated in a timely manner to reduce risk to systems and information. Where potential system weaknesses are identified, partner with other team members within Information Security, I.T. and business units to implement compensating controls. Review, interpret and explain complex maritime cyber guidelines and future regulations such as BIMCO Cybersecurity Guidelines for Ships, U.S. Coast Guard security requirements, and International Maritime Organization (IMO) to peers, IT management, IT staff, and non-technical team members as required to drive improve understanding, awareness, and adoption. Help maintain positive relationships with engineering and operational staff within I.T, Marine Operations, Newbuild, Global Security and relevant business units and third-party marine and IT shipboard suppliers to assess their cyber assurance program and ensure that there is an effective understanding of responsibilities within their areas. Contribute with a high degree of self-sufficiency and resourcefulness individual and departmental performance objectives. High degree of motivation to maintain technical skills and cybersecurity knowledge relevant by seeking self-development opportunities such as industry certifications, investing time to learn new skills, and networking with peers in the security industry. Preferred Skills Competent knowledge and experience with Marine or Industrial Engineering OT systems (ICS, Engine Control, HVAC, Water Treatment, Power Generation Management) or Navigation Systems (ECDIS, GPS, Dynamic Positioning Systems, Voyage Management Systems). Must have understanding of Apple, Linux and Windows Operating systems. Must have understanding of TCPIP networks and the OSI stack. Knowledge of I.T. systems (applications, networks etc), information security products (i.e firewalls, IPS, SIEM, proxy) or application securityvulnerability testing toolstechniques. Knowledge and experience with performing andor leading cybersecurity or assurance assessments of OT systems. Ability to identify and recommend prioritized remediation activities based on risk to the overall shipboard enterprise Understanding of cybersecurity controls related to a number of cybersecurity frameworksguidelines such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework or BIMCOCLIAICSINTERCARGO Cybersecurity Guidelines An understanding of OTICSSCADA cyber system anomaly detection methodologies and tool Bachelors degree or equivalent industry experience. 3-7 years of experience within Operational Technology (OT), Industrial Control Systems (ICS), or SCADA type systems. Travel may be required to travel domestically and internationally for periods of no more than 14 days per trip to support installations of work related to project tasks within the maritime cybersecurity portfolio.
